The aim of this series for WEN is to create space for the following

  • watching a film of interest on the big screen

  • general discussion about the film after watching it

  • listening to knowledgeable speakers and environmental network volunteers on the film topics with relevance to Ireland and our counties

  • a fundraising raffle with lovely prizes

  • enjoy a drink or refreshment from the bar

  • meeting new people interested in similar topics from all sorts of different backgrounds

  • meet and connect with familiar faces & build relationships

  • a sharing of information and knowledge

  • hearing about up-and-coming events

  • supporting us to get into further action

  • taking that information back to our own communities & workplaces

Our involvement and aims are to create cultural space using film as a vehicle for ourselves, for you and me to lean into changes we need to make.

This is becoming a real central meeting place and melting pot. We are looking forward to seeing you at one or all of the films, there is carpooling from Gorey.

Check in the slack channel #wen_film_festival & if you are not in our slack channel just email us and ask for an invite to join.
